There are many diet philosophies;
one of those philosophies is the "constant carbohydrate" meal
plan. Since 100% of the carbohydrates from fruit, starch/bread, and milk
raise the blood sugar, it is important to eat the same amount of
carbohydrates around the same time each day. By doing this, we hope
to form a scheduled/pattern of sugar levels. We will then know how
much insulin to give to turn these foods into energy without running into
problems of hypo- or hyperglycemia. |
